An Emmerdale funeral filmed at St Wilfrid's, Halton was broadcast this week and the beautiful church has strong links with the popular TV show.
It welcomed the Emmerdale production crew and selected cast in January, including actress Claire King (Kim Tate), pictured.
Vicar of Halton and Osmondthorpe, Revd Hannah Smith:
"It was a pleasure to have Emmerdale film in St. Wilfrid’s.
"We were approached as a member of our congregation works for Emmerdale on the production side, and when his first son was baptised several colleagues of his were present and I am told that one of the directors was very taken with our beautiful building.
"The location manager came out for an initial visit and was really keen to use the building.
"On the second visit, we had all the heads of teams - lighting, camera, props, direction etc. here - a surprising number of people.
"I was quizzed on liturgical colours as they filmed in January, but were going to screen in Lent - so we hastily switched to purple for filming.
"It was quite an undertaking the number of crew on site on the day of filming, but they were very organised and looked after the building wonderfully.
"We all look forward to seeing the plot-line and to seeing our fantastic building being seen briefly by the nation," said Revd Hannah, pictured right.
The ’plot-line’, as it turns out, was the funeral of Emmerdale murder victim Graham Foster and was aired on Monday, March 2.
