Farewell to the Bishop of Leeds’ Chaplain

The Chaplain to the Bishop of Leeds, the Revd Lynn Thorius, is to leave her post at the end of July, following a restructuring of the Bishop’s office at Hollin House.

Three years in to the new diocese Bishop Nick has now delegated some substantial responsibilities to the area bishops, and this means that a re-allocation of work in Hollin House is needed.

Bishop Nick says, “I am deeply grateful to Lynn for coming on board at a time of enormous challenge. She brought considerable assistance to the newly-created role of Chaplain at a time when the diocese was young, the role was challenging, the office was bare, and the support was essential.

"She has played an important part in establishing the Bishop's office in a new diocese, and her wisdom and hard work have been invaluable.

“I am glad that she will now be able to develop her own priestly ministry in the diocese, having played a substantial role in the last three years."

Further details will follow in due course. However, after 31 July, anything normally directed to the Chaplain will be dealt with by the Bishop himself or his administrative colleagues at Hollin House.
