Fellowship & fun at men’s weekend in Pateley Bridge

Straight talking South African Farmer, Angus Buchan, whose faith has carried him through drought, financial crisis and family tragedy, will tell his story at the Mighty Men’s Conference at Nidderdale Show Ground over the weekend of 26-28 August.

The Revd Darryl Hall, Vicar of Upper Nidderdale, says, “In a season of uncertainty and darkness, the world needs to hear the Christian message proclaimed with conviction. The Mighty Men's Conference will be a place where the light of Christ shines brightly”.

Organiser Ian Gray says, “The Mighty Men's Conference is a time for reflection, restoration and rescue away from the hassle of everyday life.  It’s an amazing weekend of faith, food, fellowship and fun.  I really encourage men (and everyone on Sunday morning) to come and hear some amazing life-changing testimonies”.

The three-day event includes four sessions led by Angus Buchan on Friday night, Saturday morning, Saturday evening and Sunday morning. The first three sessions are for men only, but Sunday morning is open to all - men women and children.

It’s free to attend but a booking fee of £2 per ticket will be applied to help understand numbers for food and site management.

Free food is provided on Friday night, Saturday lunch and a Saturday evening meal.

Camping on the site is available with a camping fee of £5 per tent, camper or caravan.

Several local churches will be attending including St Mark’s Harrogate and Kairos Network Church and other churches are invited to bring groups of men.
