Follow Me sessions return for sixth year

Well-known BBC broadcaster and journalist, the Revd Richard Coles will kick off this year’s Follow Me 6 series of inspirational teaching sessions which are organised by the Bishop of Wakefield, the Rt Revd Tony Robinson.

Bishop Tony launched the Follow Me events at Wakefield Cathedral in 2014 as opportunities for people to learn more about discipleship. About Follow Me 6, Bishop Tony says: "The Follow Me sessions at Wakefield Cathedral are about to begin their sixth year. We have five sessions with guest speakers including the Rev’d Richard Coles of Radio and Television fame and the Archbishop of York. I hope more people will consider coming to join us for these very inspiring evenings."

All the sessions are in the evenings. This year’s line-up starts with the Revd Coles, pictured,  leading a session entitled “Cloud of Witness” on Thursday, September 12.

The second session will be on Thursday, October 10 when Tim Cooper, Professor of Sustainable Design and Consumption at Nottingham Trent University, will be looking at Christianity, Consumerism and Climate.

There are three more sessions planned later in the year and into next year and they all begin at 7.45pm, following choral evensong at 6.30pm.
