Funds for new bus needed to support projects at Wakefield church

Important projects run by a church in Wakefield need support as they look to raise funds to buy a new minibus.
St Catherine’s Church Centre Wakefield have recently discovered their oldest bus is no longer roadworthy, and are appealing to the public to give generously so they can buy a new one.
The bus is used to transport elderly, vulnerable, isolated people to and from the church’s day care service.
This service allows them to socialise, take part in stimulating activities, access a hot meal and also provides much needed respite for the families caring for them.
The bus is also used to collect and distribute donations for their Food Bank, which supports the most vulnerable families and individuals in their district and has distributed over 6,000 food parcels this year alone.
