Gather Leeds is a new initiative to give Christians in Leeds the opportunity to discuss current topics and to consider how the Church can actively engage in vital areas in the city.
Round table discussions will take place on areas such as health, business, government/politics, arts/media, education, social Justice and the work place – with Christians who are involved in them.
The first meeting will take place on Thursday, 9 March 6-8pm (hot food provided) at St George's Conference Centre, Great George Street, Leeds, LS1 3BR
Organiser Dave Paterson says, “The idea has grown out of Pray for Leeds, and a key aim is to enable more connectivity and networks to develop around these spheres so that Christians, as well as supporting and praying for one another, can think strategically about how the body of Christ can impact policies to help shape our city at a time when so many areas are struggling.
"Please spread the word and come along yourself. As well as discussion there’ll be a hot meal and time for networking."
Gather Leeds, which will run alongside Pray for Leeds (P4L), is linked in with the Gather UK Movement which inspires connected prayer and coordinated mission particularly in the sphere's of health, business, education, social justice, arts and media.
