Giant floral crosses remind passing public of Easter meaning in Barnsley

Giant decorated crosses have sprung up across the churchyard of a Barnsley church to remind local people and passing motorists of the true meaning of Easter.

A series of giant floral crosses that adorn the trees outside the church at St John th Evangelist, Hoylandswaine, have been renewed and make a spectacular display.

The church held a Holy Communion and meditation at 7.30pm on Tuesday; a Last hour at the cross at 2pm on Good Friday and the Easter Sunday Family Communion is at 11am.
