Supporting your local church is going to get easier, as the Diocese of Leeds is taking part in a national pilot scheme for online giving.
The scheme is looking to pioneer a new way of engaging with the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS), which launched in our diocese last year, by offering new ways to set up regular giving online.
The pilot program is being trialled in ten of our parishes, and will run until March 2021, at which point it will be reviewed for a wider rollout.
Four other dioceses, who are also members of the PGS, will be involved in the pilot too - Hereford, Liverpool, Oxford and St Edmondsbury & Ipswich.
Janet Edmond, Stewardship Officer, said: “The diocese is delighted to be involved in the live pilot of this important new PGS development offering donors the opportunity to set up and manage regular giving to their church online.
“This new online method has been designed to be secure, easy to use and will provide even greater flexibility for donors.
“Most importantly this new development will also help to empower all generations to give with confidence whether online, by phone, or on paper. “
