TV and Radio Vicar, the Revd Kate Bottley will be returning to the university where she studied next month to give the next in the series of ‘Trinity Talks’.
Kate is a notable alumni of Leeds Trinity, graduating twenty years ago. She studied Secondary Religious Education with QTS from 1993–97 at Leeds Trinity & All Saints (as it was then known) and then trained to be a Religious Education teacher in secondary schools. From 1997 until 2005 she taught RE in the Sheffield area.
Kate will be returning to Leeds Trinity University on Wednesday 7 November to give the talk, God and the Gogglebox; Fron Trinity to Telly.
Now a Church of England priest in Nottinghamshire, Kate is perhaps most well-known for appearing on Channel 4’s Gogglebox in 2014 but her five-season stint on the award-winning show led to presenting work on BBC documentaries, Songs of Praise and BBC Radio 2. She’s now a priest, journalist, reality television star, broadcaster and presenter, and has made guest appearances on Celebrity Masterchef, Impossible Celebrities, 8 out of 10 Cars, and more.
