Halifax Minster Summer Festival runs from Thursday 29 June to Sunday 9 July with a wide variety of events to suit all tastes and ages.
The Festival begins with a Preview Evening for Trinity Academy Art . and the work of these talented students is on display until September.
A 'Sans Illuminaire' offers a candlelit and musical tour of the Minster allowing visitors to discover historical characters who have shaped the town of Halifax and its Minster beginning with the benedictines who founded the chuch in the twelth century.
The Festival continues with a myriad of musical entertainment. Everything from the Cathedral Choir to organs, orchestras and the Black Dyke Band. Saturday 8th sees a special performance from Lizzey & sam - the Suitcase Dwellers - a modern acoustic duo from Yorkshire (Lizzie is even from Halifax).
And if all this has inspired you to get more musical, the Festival concludes with a 'Come & Sing Choral Evensong' open to all.
