Halifax Minster will be marking 75 years of Holocaust Memorial Day at a special event on January 27.
Holocaust Memorial Day is held each year on the day the Auschwitz concentration camp was liberated by Allied forces in 1945, during World War II.
The event at Halifax Minster will also be commemorating 25 years since the Bosnian Genocide, with representatives from the Anne Frank Trust there.
Present as well will be soldiers from the Duke of Wellington Regiment, who served in Bosnia, and individuals from Opera North, including Stephen Shulman, composer with the company.
Rudi Leavor, Jewish community leader, will be attending, and the event will be led by the Mayor of Calderdale, Dot Foster, and the Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire, Ed Anderson.
The event will begin at 6pm and end at 8pm.
