Leading theologian Jane Williams will give a lecture at Bingley Holy Trinity Church this coming Friday, April 20 at 7pm.
The lecture is the first of a series of six lectures to be delivered during the year as part of the parish’s 150th anniversary celebrations.
Dr Williams, wife of the former Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, is assistant dean and lecturer in systematic theology at St Mellitus College in London.
She is also visiting lecturer in theology at King’s College, London and the author of several books.
Jane Williams has strong Bradford connections. Her father, the late Geoffrey Paul was Bishop Bradford from 1981 to 1983 – he died in office – and she married the future Archbishop at St Barnabas Church, Heaton in 1981.
The title of her talk is Exploring the Church. Admission is free.
