Leeds church goes green with Eco Church Award

One of our Leeds area churches has had their green activities rewarded, by achieving their Bronze Eco Church Award.
All Hallows in Bardsey got their award by completing the Arocha Eco Church survey, which easily tracks what your church is doing for the environment in five key areas of church life.
Diocesan Environment Officer Jemima Parker said: “I congratulate All Hallow’s Bardsey on achieving their Eco Church Bronze award.
“I commend the way they have continued to hold the care of God’s creation as a priority, having not been deterred by the restrictions imposed by the pandemic.
“Indeed they have been most creative holding online talks on the theology of creation care and even had an eco cupcake competition!
“This is a great time for any church to work away at the Eco Church award scheme.”
