Give Lindley a little love this Lent is the message for volunteers to come and help clean up the village this Saturday morning.
Anyone interested should meet at St Stephen’s for 10 am for a debrief and to pick up equipment. The event finishes at 12 noon with soup and sandwiches in church.
The vicar of Lindley, the Revd Rachel Firth said: “For Lent, we pray, we give things up, we support charities, but sometimes we forget the power of doing something, however simple, to teach us about ourselves, our faith, and how God calls us to be – people living in community.”
Already signed up are the local councillor, the Explorer Scouts and the local community police officer.
