This year the Church of England is looking to ‘rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep’ in its annual Christmas campaign.
‘Comfort and Joy’ aims to enable us to both reconnect with the rich and joyous traditions of the past and to offer God’s consoling love in the present.
The campaign includes weekly Advent reflections throughout December, finishing with daily Christmas reflections between Christmas Day and January 2, as well as national streamed services and printed resources to be shared with churches.
The A Church Near You Resource Hub will offer churches customisable videos and images, as well as hymns that can be used in church services.
Much of these materials will be available through the Daily Hope free phone number, which offers music, prayers and reflections as well as full worship services from the Church of England at the end of a telephone line.
