A group of Christians from across the diocese have been receiving specialist social media training to equip them to speak out as advocates for the Church of England and the Christian faith. The national initiative aims to train and support a network of trained Anglicans who are confident in using twitter, facebook and other platforms to bring a Christian voice to the table.
Training has been rolled out across the country and participants in Leeds created a video and faced a mock radio interview. The course covers social media, digital storytelling, the do’s and don'ts of social media, handling the press and media and the creation of an Anglican social media network.
