An open day will be held at Kirkwood Hospice this Saturday for volunteers who might be interested in a new Befriending Service, which it aims to launch later this year.
The service will offer companionship to people living with a life-limiting illness who would benefit from regular company or contact from a volunteer to avoid becoming socially isolated, keep active or simply to support their general well-being.
Interested in Volunteering? Want to know more? Come to Kirkwood Hospice on Saturday 19th August 2017 at 10.30am
There will be a short presentation and Q&A session designed to help you decide if this volunteering opportunity is right for you.
The Hospice’s regular Coffee Morning will also be running on that day, so it’s an opportunity to enjoy a drink and a cake while meeting new people. Kirkwood Hospice, 21 Albany Road, Huddersfield. HD5 9UY
