Online training offers practical tips on video presentation

Clergy and lay church leaders, involved in delivering online services across the diocese, have taken part in Zoom training sessions offering practical tips on video presentation.

Organised by the Diocese of Leeds Communications Team, the online meetings featured the Revd Canon Robin Gamble, Bishop’s Advisor for Church Growth, who offered practical tips to help those new to appearing on camera.

Since the unfortunate closure of church services and events due to the coronavirus pandemic, church communities have quickly taken to producing digital services on platforms such as Facebook, YouTube and Zoom. Many of the current online services taking place can be found here on the COVID-19 section of the website.

“Lots of people are beginning to make good videos and no matter how good we are at it, we can all improve by 20%,” said Robin.

“I have loved meeting all these video makers and look forward to another great session.”

After two already successful events, the communications team will again be teaming up with Robin on Monday, June 22 to facilitate another Zoom Q and A exploring practical tips on video presentation.
