Praying for our schools

Could you join a group to pray for the life and work of our schools?

On Monday, 21 March, Christians in North Leeds will be coming together to pray for their local primary schools.

Children and Young People's Development worker, Anne Carter, says, "This is our first gathering and we hope it will lead to more prayer groups, here and in other parts of the city. Come along and meet others and then maybe develop your own local area group.

"We're also planning a support day in September for all those who'd like to support their local primary schools more. We'll send out more information later in the year."

Pray for Schools takes place on 21 March, 7.30pm at Moortown Baptist Church, and is supported by P4L (Pray for Leeds) which aims to inform and link those who pray in Leeds.

National Pray for Schools aims to mobilise Christians to support their school communities through prayer. You can do this through starting a group to pray regularly for your local school; having schools prayer as a focus for your church or praying as an individual for a school near you.
