Premier Christian Radio has broadcast an hour long Christmas programme from Swaledale with Arkengarthdale, one of the most remote parishes in the diocese,
This Yorkshire Dales community has two brass bands, four Church of England churches, more sheep than people and the view along Swaledale at Gunnerside has been voted one of the top ten views in the country.
The Vicar of this huge parish is the Revd. Caroline Hewlett and to get around in all weathers she drives a 4 x 4.
Caroline invited Premier's Ian Britton to spend a day with her to discover more about Christmas in the Dales.
Providing music for a journey around the parish was some carols sung by the local community in St Mary’s Church, Arkengarthdale, accompanied by the Reeth Brass Band.
