Resourcing churches to engage with primary schools

Would you like help and ideas for how your church can engage with your local primary school?

On Saturday 17 September, a day of talks and workshops is being held in Leeds, to inspire and resource churches in the diocese to just that.

The keynote speaker is Geoff Brown, Schools Development Worker from Scripture Union, and there’ll be a myriad of workshops to choose from including:

  • Jumping Fish
  • MakeLunch
  • Journey Makers
  • Open the Book
  • Prayer Spaces in Schools
  • Fairtrade & Environment
  • Schools visiting Churches

Fiona Beevers from the Diocesan Education Team, says, "Church members play a vital role in supporting schools and bringing to life the Christian community of which they are a part.  There are countless ways individuals can get involved – this day will provide some ideas and opportunities to learn more".

Booking deadline: 9 September. The cost is £15 per head and includes lunch.

The day is provided Churches Together across Leeds and supported by Scripture Union and Leeds Church Institute.
