Retreat to the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales for a reading week

Our clergy have the chance to read, walk, talk and rest during a reading week set in the stunning surroundings of Parcevall Hall which takes place next month.

Led by Revd Canon Stephen Treasure, the time of reflection takes place in this stunning 17 bedroom house which dates back to the 16th century.

Parcevall Hall  is the diocese's only Retreat House and is set in 24 acres of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.

"If you want a place to share good company and fellowship, experience nature's beauty and enjoy good food, and if you want a quiet place to have a personal conversation with God in words and in spirit, and you've never been to Clergy reading retreat, then I strongly recommend you attend.

"It would the beginning of a new relationship," Stephen said.

"It is a joy to have time to read, from start to finish, a book that has long beckoned; to think about and read round for a coming course or sermon series; to spend time with God in meditation and intercession in this beautiful and peaceful place where poor mobile phone reception keeps interruptions at bay!" He added

The reading week is from February 4 to February 7 and the cost is £220.
