Children from one of our schools have been brightening up their area with new street art inspired by those helping us during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The pupils from St Mary’s School Hunslet wanted to cheer people up with their art, as well as show support for key workers working hard to keep us safe and the country running.
After getting approval from the council, they painted their designs for all to see.
Matt Keddie, teacher at the school, said: “I’ve been giving them ideas of what they might do.
“They really enjoyed the final point of putting their art on the wall and other people seeing it, it’s just amazing for them.”
A BBC Look North report on the art can been seen here, starting at 22:47.
