St Augustine opens its doors to say thank you and celebration
St Augustine’s Church, Huddersfield is now open again following extensive repairs to the roof and ceiling after lead theft almost two years ago
And to say thank you for all the support received over the past two years, the church threw open its doors for a Celebration Weekend of events on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th September.
On Saturday 24th September, there was a coffee morning with the opportunity to look around the church between 10am and 12 noon. In the evening, the Yorkshire Philharmonic Chamber Choir joined other local musicians for a concert at 7.30pm.
And on Sunday 25th September at 4pm there was a service of Thanksgiving and Dedication led by Rt Revd Jonathan Gibbs, Bishop of Huddersfield.
