Second date for All Saints and new website launched

A second commissioning service for anyone wanting to join the new Community of All Saints launched by the Bishop of Wakefield last month will be held this Sunday.

Over 200 people committed themselves to putting Pray; Grow; Act at the heart of their lives over the next 12 months when Bishop Tony launched the Community of All Saints in Wakefield Cathedral on All Saints Day. (Watch a film of the service - see below)

And this Sunday (Dec 11) a service has been organized at 3.30pm in the Church of Our Lady and S. Michael ,Wragby, which will be another opportunity for new members to be commissioned.

Bishop Tony, who has just returned from leading a 10-day pilgrimage to the Holy Land said he was “humbled” by the number of people who had come to the All Saints Day Eucharist at the Cathedral. But even more so by the number of people who had decided to join the Community of All Saints.

He said he hoped this Sunday would be an opportunity for those already committed to their Rule of Life for the New Christian year, which began on Advent Sunday, to come together and welcome new members wanting to join.

The Community of All Saints has now got its own website and facebook and twitter accounts - which has links to prayer and other resources and a first All Saints trip has been organized to Holy Island early next summer.
