St Matts Leeds, a church community located in the North West part of the city, have been responding to the COVID-19 crisis, offering "moments of joy and moments of hope" to those in need.
In a recently published video, members of the congregation share the ways they have reached out to those in the Burley area. A helpline, open seven days a week, has been set up to offer people a place to ask for prayer, a general chat or request help with food shopping.
Food deliveries for those in self isolation and unable to travel to the shops have also been a key feature of St Matts support to its local community, working closely with the council to identify individuals who are most in need.
More details of the spiritual and practical support offered at St Matts can be found on their website here.
