As cathedral and church choirs all over the country take their welcomed break for the summer, it can be an opportunity for visiting choirs and singers to take advantage of singing in one of our great places.
On Sunday 16 August at Bradford Cathedral ,well-known soprano and singing teacher, Una Barry, is offering with the accompaniment of the Director of Music, Alex Woodrow, music from twentieth-century France and by Vaughan Williams to enhance the worship for the 10.15am Eucharist service.
Asked about the occasion and its demands, Una said, ‘Well, you’re on your tod and there’s no one else’s voice to hide behind! But what a wonderful opportunity, and to sing music, whilst unfamiliar to many, is just beautiful and worthy. I just hope people will make the effort to be there and also experience the warmth of welcome from Bradford Cathedral.’
