Toddler Ministry helps little ones take their first steps with Christianity

Toddler Ministry is a growing area of work for our Children, Young People and Families team with development sessions taking place across the diocese.

These gatherings enable toddler group leaders from different churches to meet and share their experience of ministering with young families.

They also give time for learning more about what is possible and how to be distinctively Christian in a mid-week setting,” said team member Anne Carter, pictured.

“So far we’ve had leaders gatherings in Wakefield, Bradford and Ripon Episcopal areas and those who attended  are really enthusiastic about linking with others and sharing good practice and resource ideas,” Anne said.

“They have all been encouraged by the support they have given each other, particularly in developing the worship and spiritual content of toddler sessions.

Many churches are realising the significance of midweek church for families and Toddler Ministry is an area where there is increasing commitment and growth.
