Volunteers help hoist cross over Otley Chevin

More than 100 volunteers hauled the giant Easter cross into place over Otley Chevin this weekend.

The cross, which stands at 30ft tall, has become a familiar landmark at Surprise View during the Easter period since 1968.

The current cross is made from timber salvaged from the bombed Arndale Centre in Manchester.
