Rhubarb is on the menu at Wakefield Cathedral this weekend as it joins the city council for its annual Rhubarb Festival of Food and Drink.
Headline chefs this weekend include TVs very own Rachel Green and 5 AA Rosette and Michelin award winner, Jean Christophe Novelli in a weekend of cook offs, and tasting dishes - all using West Yorkshire's most famous pink vegetable. Other events include children's cooking sessions, craft events nd a rhubarb family trail round the city's shops.
And on Friday 17 February join in a special rhubarb trail in Wakefield Cathedral. Make your way around the beautifully restored building, learn more about and see if you can find the Cathedral's very own bundle of rhubarb. Pick up a copy of the trail in the Cathedral.
The Cathedral Kitchen is also serving rhubarb scones all weekend as well as meat pie and peas all day. The Cathedral Kitchen is open Friday and Saturday 9.30am til 2.30pm.
