A special service to mark the 70th anniversary of the HMT Empire Windrush bringing Caribbean workers to Britain will take place at Bradford Cathedral on Sunday, June 17.
And it promises to be both a moving and fascinating event, said the diocese's spiritual director Can Paul Maybury.
"We got in touch with Pastor Edward Stirling at the New Testament Church of God in Bradford and they are bringing their gospel choir to share Evensong with us.
"They will sing three pieces of gospel music and the choir will also perform, so there will be a very special mix of Afro-Caribbean spiritual music and Bradford Cathedral choral," said Paul.
"Members of the New Testamemt Church of God will also then interview two people from their congregation who were part of the Windrush Generation.
The service begins at 4pm and there will be refreshments afterwards.
