Sharon will be serving her curacy at Fountains Church, Bradford after training for ordination at St. Hild, and completing a Master’s in Mission and Leadership. She was born on the other side of the Pennines before seeing the light and moving to Bradford in 1994. She completed a Master’s degree in Palaeopathology at the University that year and stayed to work in the Archaeological Sciences dept. Sharon met her husband Alastair, a GP, at St. Philip’s, Girlington in her first week in Bradford (!) and they have continued to worship and serve in the parish ever since. After leaving the University, Sharon has worked in several church related roles focussing on training and community development and was most recently part of the Diocesan Lay Training Team. Sharon loves playing music and with Alastair enjoys travelling, playing tennis and spending time with their three lovely adult children, Esther, Jeremiah and Archie.
