The Revd Lynn Thorius has been appointed as Bishop Nick’s Chaplain and Policy Adviser. Lynn is currently serving as Curate in the East Richmond Team Ministry in the Ripon Episcopal Area.
Lynn originally worked as a social worker and was most recently the Director of the Carers Service for Hambleton & Richmondshire. She has been in senior management positions in statutory and voluntary organisations and a trustee on the board of an NHS Hospital Trust.
Bishop Nick says, “Lynn brings experience, maturity and wisdom to a role that needs all three. I am looking forward to working with her."
Lynn says, “I love a challenge, and it will be a privilege to be part of the work in this new diocese with its great opportunities and potential for the future. I am under no illusion about the scope and the complexities of the post but with my background and skills I hope to be a faithful Chaplain to Bishop Nick.”
Lynn will take up her new appointment on 1 October.
