Children from Barnoldswick CoE Primary School have received an imaginative introduction to Easter.
Revd Sheena McMain used material from the Experience Easter project and on March 27 and 28, six "stations" were set up around Holy Trinity Church, Barnoldswick, which brightly told the story from Palm Sunday to the Resurrection.
Parishioners from each of the three churches in the multi-church benefice (St Mary-le-Ghyll, St Michael’s Bracewell and Holy Trinity) helped tell the story to four classes from Years 3 and 4.
Classes were divided into five groups and worked their way round the stations, coming together at the sixth station for the Resurrection story.
"The pupils thoroughly enjoyed their visit.
"The church was alive and buzzing with their enthusiasm and their feedback to the school was very positive," Revd Sheena said.
Holy Trinity was open the following Saturday and welcomed local people wanting to see the excellent displays.
Revd Sheena, pictured, thanked Revd Louise Firth and Rev Julie Clarkson for all the work in setting up the displays, training the story tellers and liaising with the school.
