Evangelism\'s issues and methods revealed at St George\'s Leeds

St George’s, Leeds is hosting an inspirational and practical workshop on evangelism, a day-long event which is open to clergy and laity together from across the diocese.

Revd Canon Robin Gamble, will lead the day, entitled Talking about the ‘E’ Word (sowing, watering and reaping), on Thursday, September 13.

“We are getting good in the church at thinking, talking and working towards church growth, but the issues and methodologies of evangelism seem to have almost disappeared off the agenda,” says Robin, Bishop Nick’s special adviser on church growth.

“So in the Diocese of Leeds we are making a big effort to go further with this vital and life transforming ministry.

“I am being helped on the day by Revd Sophie Jelley of Durham Diocese and Rvd Matt Woodcock from the Diocese of York – both well known for their skills and experience of parish-based evangelism.

“I think this is going to be a very helpful and ‘difference-making’ day.”
