From Ark to Zion in new book to help explore the Bible

One of our priests in the Wakefield area hopes to make looking though the Bible easier with a new book taking us through it from A to Z.
‘From Ark to Zion’ has been written by the Revd Rupert Martin, Vicar of the parish of Sandal Magna, and looks to share a treasure trove of biblical images, symbols, metaphors and parables.
By focussing on how each image develops in different contexts, the book encourages us to read the Bible with our imagination fully engaged.
The alphabetical structure invites you to dip in and explore the ramifications of each image.
The book, with design work by the Revd Bob Bailey, Vicar of Kippax, is illustrated with the author’s photographs, and works of art which complement and enhance the verbal images.
It is A4 in size, 200 pages long, with 100 biblical images and 140 colour illustrations.??
Revd Rupert said: “I hope that the book will provide food for thought and spiritual nourishment, giving a fresh insight into the beauty and meaning of the Bible, as it has been communicated through images by prophets and poets, historians and letter writers, and above all through the person of Jesus Christ, whose parables are full of poetic imagery.”
The book is being sold at the cost price of £20 + £5 postage and packaging.
