An exciting programme of digital skills training and support has been released for the coming year.
This will feature a number of online courses, focussing on topics such as live streaming, presenting in front of camera, social media and creating a Word Press website for church.
This year, because of the continued uncertainty caused by Covid-19, all our courses will be held online via Zoom.
Starting on Thursday, June 17, the first of two training events focusing on different aspects of video, live streaming and video presentation, will be taking place.
Other courses held in the autumn will include how to create a basic Word Press website, digital giving, advanced social media and how online platforms can be used safely and effectively to disciple and reach young people.
The Digital and Social Media Officer for the Diocese of Leeds, Richard Earnshaw, is also making time available for churches and parishes wishing to discuss a digital platform on a one to one basis.
Digital Surgery slots can be used to review a social media account for example, with Richard offering tips and suggestions on how to make the most of your churches Facebook page or Instagram.
Full details are available here on our communications training page.
To book a place on to any of the training or Digital Surgery sessions, please send an email to comms.training@leeds.anglican.org stating the title of the session, your name and parish.
The Leeds CofE Digital Support Facebook group is also open to anyone involved in digital aspects of church. It’s a space to ask questions, share tips and find ideas for social media, live streaming, church websites and the A Church Near You platform.
