New ways of working for our Children, Young People and Families Team

The Diocese of Leeds Children, Young People and Families Team are pleased to share their new way of working, looking to encourage and resource parishes in their mission and ministry with children, young people and their families.

The roles within the Team have evolved from the existing specialisms and Episcopal Area connections and will allow the Team to better work across the whole diocese, supporting parishes as they seek to engage with the diocesan strategy to grow young people as Christians.

The four roles will be: Team Leader, Children 0-12 Lead, Young People 10-18 Lead and a Mission Training Lead.

Liz Morton, Children, Young People and Families Team Leader, said: “We are really looking forward to this new way of working across the diocese, as it will enable us to focus our work quite intentionally, whilst also ensuring we cover the key transitions for children, young people and their families, including engaging with intergenerational ministry.”

Diocesan Secretary Jonathan Wood said: “These changes will help us share expertise right across the diocese, ensuring we are in a position to give effective and consistent support.”

More information about the new roles and structure can be found here.
