The Real Junk Food Café @ All Hallows' has just opened its doors for the first time. It's a pay-as-you-feel café - part of the network of TRJFP cafes which intercept food from supermarkets and cafés that would otherwise go to landfill. They then use it to prepare meals for customers who pay what they feel able to - whether that's with money or by volunteering some of their time.
Church Warden, Jan Betts said, "The café is based on the model at Armley who have been really helpful and supportive.
"It's been a great success so far, but we'd love to see more people as we're hoping to open on other days too. People can volunteer in the café or in other local projects, setting up community connections in the area."
The café is currently open every Friday, 10am to 4pm - at All Hallows’ Community Project, 24 Regent Terrace, Leeds LS6 1NP.
