This Lent, Christians across the diocese are invited to explore how we live the gospel in our daily lives, with our upcoming Rhythm of Life course and retreats.
With a Lenten focus, each week of the course will provide an opportunity to learn more about how we can provide structure to our lives in seven key areas: praying, reflecting, encouraging, sharing, resting, celebrating and creating.
The course, designed to be run locally in parishes and cathedrals on Zoom or face-to-face, will be a stepping-stone for further engagement with the Rhythm of Life.
A guide for leaders will be made available, along with specially recorded videos.
As an alternative to parish-based courses, individuals are welcome to join a diocesan-run Zoom-based option.
The Revd Andrew Norman, Director of Ministry and Mission for the diocese, said, “Lent is a time for giving attention to our rhythms of life. I hope many will find our Rhythm of Life 2022 Lent Course a really helpful resource for this.
“And this year there’s an unprecedented opportunity to join retreats with input from our bishops in every episcopal area.”
In addition to the seven-week Lent course, the bishops in the Diocese of Leeds invite everyone to come together for retreat days throughout the Diocese.
Hosted in each episcopal area, they are an opportunity for reflection, prayer, learning and sharing with others, whilst engaging with the diocesan Rhythm of Life initiative.
