Prompted by the recent launch of the Archbishop of York’s Faith in the North initiative, the husband of our Bishop Smitha is recording local voices talking about their faith journeys.
Peter Prasadam often accompanies Bishop Smitha as she meets worshippers in the Huddersfield Episcopal Area and he has now created a short video featuring audio recordings made in Todmorden.
They hope the recordings may be a way of “sharing the rich tapestry of faith in the Huddersfield Episcopal Area,” in Bishop Smitha’s words, and are accompanied by still images in the first video which may be viewed here.
“Being with Bishop Smitha in different parts of the diocese on Sundays, I came up with the idea of recording some audios of people talking about their Church and their faith,” Peter said.
“I have mixed the audio with pictures and so far have completed one for Todmorden, which I think can be linked to the Archbishop of York’s Faith in the North initiative.”
Peter now intends to add to his collection of recordings when he accompanies Bishop Smitha during Advent and beyond.
