One of our Leeds area churches is helping to share a heart-warming new play with people.
St Paul’s Ireland Wood is hosting a performance of “Cups on a String”, a new play from the Riding Lights Theatre Company.
Joe, 11, is struggling at home and school, while Heather, 57, leads a comfortable life—until their worlds collide in unexpected ways.
Over a year, they meet weekly, and their journey together reveals the power of playfulness, listening and laughter, and how risk-taking and trust can lead to growth and transformation.
Based on true stories, this production weaves theatre, live music, and digital technology to explore a unique friendship that will leave viewers feeling hopeful and inspired.
It is being toured by Riding Lights in partnership with Transforming Lives for Good, a Christian charity that helps churches to bring hope and a future to struggling children.
The show is being performed at St Paul's Church on Sunday, September 29 at 7:30pm.
The Revd Mark Harlow, Vicar at St Paul’s, said: “We are thrilled to host the Riding Lights Theatre Company again.
“Their previous performances that we hosted have been outstanding and we are looking forward to seeing the way they portray the story of supporting struggling children and the work of TLG (Transforming Lives for Good) in the storytelling, visuals and soundscape of the play.”
