How to compose the perfect compost, an expert talk on sustain
able living and a children’s craft session based around St Francis of Assisi are all parts of a new Green Fair at one of our churches next month.
The inaugural event takes place from 1pm-4pm at All Hallows Church, Bardsey on Saturday, September 9 and also features stalls, crafts, refreshments and an ice cream van!
“It’s an event for everyone,” said Revd Angela Hannafin, Incumbent, Bardsey with East Keswick Parish.
“Our first Green Fair is an opportunity to encourage one another to live more sustainably. I’m hoping this event will show that even smaller churches can partner with the local community to create important cultural change.” Revd Angela said.
The Boston Spa Green Group will give a talk on how to live sustainably at 2pm inside the church, but it is hoped most of the action will be outdoors – depending on the weather.
Church members are actively supporting the fair which hopes to engage with the whole community, as these comments show:
