St Mark’s Longwood have been blessing dogs, hamsters and more at a recent pet blessing service.
The Revd Simon Crook, Vicar of the parish, said: “We had a great Pet Blessing Service with many new people coming to church to express how much their pets meant to them, and to hear God's blessing spoken.
“We had hymns, bible readings, an animal quiz, sermon and prayers for all of creation.
“Afterwards the RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield and Bradford branch were on hand to give advice and to raise money.
"It was a delight to see so many new people in church, and to raise our voices, human and animal, to the creator of us all.
“The RSPCA local branch do great work and we were proud to work with them."
