One of our Bradford area churches recently baptised 13 Christians in the River Wharfe.
The 12 adults and one child from St John’s Bowling made the trip from Bowling to Burnsall with friends, family and supporters on Saturday, September 14.
The church enjoyed their full day out in the September sun, which alongside the baptisms included worship, fun and food.
The Revd Tim Thomas, Vicar of the church, said: “It was a wonderful occasion.
“We worshipped together in the open air beforehand, and after the baptisms spent the afternoon swimming in the river, playing football and enjoying a barbecue, all bathed in glorious late summer sunshine!”
