Priest in Charge, St Aidan's, Harehills

St Aidan’s, in the heart of inner-city Harehills, Leeds, is committed to being a worshipping, serving, sacrificing community, following the example of Jesus Christ. Our rich liturgy and worship is firmly within the catholic tradition, with parish mass at the heart of our worshipping life. Our church leads and hosts a wide range of projects providing service to the whole local community, in practical expression of our commitment to social justice.

The PCC is working to: develop our diverse communities and build leadership, understanding and confidence; develop our outline strategic plan for our beautiful building with significant heritage and its varieties of space; develop our local partnerships further and deeper.

The PCC would like our new parish priest to work with us: to grow our culturally diverse church, in discipleship, faith and numbers; to build further on our city-wide reputation and practice of welcome and inclusion; to make the most of our social capital and wider local community opportunities.

The parish borders on Roundhay Park. The house proposed is within easy access of the parish. It is also just ten minutes’ walk from Chapel Allerton, recently listed as one of the best places to live in the UK.
